KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Brian Reed, director of aviation strategic initiatives at Burns & McDonnell, has been elected as vice chair of the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) World Business Partners/Associates Board of Directors. Reed is a longtime aviation industry executive with an extensive track record of leadership and success in working with some of the world’s largest airports and airlines.

ACI-NA is a premier support organization for North American airports, representing commercial airport ownership and governing bodies at the local, regional and state levels throughout the United States and Canada. As the largest of five worldwide regions of ACI, its members represent more than 300 airports and nearly 400 aviation-related businesses.

“I am honored to serve as vice chair of the ACI-NA World Business Partners/Associates Board of Directors for 2021,” Reed says. “ACI-NA is an outstanding organization that provides guidance and support to the commercial airport market across North America. I’m looking forward to working with the organization and other members of the board during this unprecedented time for the industry.”

Following his service as vice chair of the board in 2021, Brian will step into the role of chair of the board in 2022, before joining the full ACI-NA Airport Board in 2023 to represent the World Business Partners as immediate past chair.
