ORLANDO, Florida — Bryan Bernardo has been promoted to regional manager for construction in Florida, where he will lead a rapidly growing team managing commercial and industrial projects for Burns & McDonnell. Bernardo has more than 35 years of experience in construction project management and executive construction leadership roles.

“Bryan is leading our Construction Group at an exciting time,” says Rich Mahaley, vice president and general manager of Florida regional operations for Burns & McDonnell. “We have tremendous growth opportunities in many different sectors including two large new hangars at Orlando International Airport among projects currently scheduled. Bryan’s proven leadership and proficiency with all project delivery models will continue us on a path of success.”

Over his career, Bernardo has focused on streamlining and optimizing the construction process via collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation, virtual design and construction and lean methodologies proven to deliver exceptional results on complex projects. He has experience with a broad range of project delivery methods, including design-build, construction manager at-risk and conventional design-bid-build.

The Construction Group in Florida has expanded rapidly in recent years and is projected to grow to at least 75 people by 2025. The Florida construction team will have access to resources of a large national network of construction professionals while maintaining close familiarity with local market needs throughout the state.
