ARLINGTON, Virginia — Burns & McDonnell, a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture and construction firm, celebrated its continued growth and commitment to job creation in the Commonwealth of Virginia alongside Congressman Don Beyer during an open house and ribbon-cutting May 9 at the company's new, larger office at 4200 Wilson Boulevard in Arlington.

With a current workforce of over 220 employees in the state and over 40 employee-owners in the Washington, D.C., metro area office, the move to the larger space will allow the firm to almost double in size in the coming years with current job openings available and the opportunity for future expansion.

Led by Andrew Leahy, PE, the office is one of seven in the Mid-Atlantic region for Burns & McDonnell and is dedicated to delivering facilities and infrastructure needs for manufacturing, healthcare, university, energy and utility clients. The expansion will also enable the firm to continue to grow its business footprint for facilities, energy and security projects and services for government entities such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Architect of the Capitol, Naval Facilities Engineering Command and the State Department.

It’s the icing on the cake.”
