CHESAPEAKE, Virginia — Burns & McDonnell, a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture and construction firm, announces its selection of John Bothof to serve as director of operations for the Mid-Atlantic region. The firm’s presence is growing in the region and its expansion will facilitate innovative and cost-effective architecture, engineering and construction solutions for clients.

“We now have more than 350 architects, engineers and construction professionals serving clients from our seven locations in the region,” says Jeffrey Ganthner, vice president and general manager of Burns & McDonnell offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. “John has demonstrated that he can lead multidisciplinary teams that will deliver mission-critical facilities and reliable infrastructure. His business acumen and technical skills will be of great value to our clients.”

Bothof previously served as operations manager of the firm’s Honolulu office, where he oversaw work in the Pacific region. Throughout the Mid-Atlantic, the need for architecture, engineering and construction services continues to expand. By leveraging his more than 15 years of experience, Bothof will lead teams to design and build high-performing, energy-efficient and reliable facilities.
