ORLANDO, Florida (Feb. 7, 2017) — With a continued focus on strengthening and building the electrical infrastructure in the Southeast, Burns & McDonnell — ranked the No. 1 firm in electrical power and transmission and distribution by Engineering News-Record — hires Carolyn Greenwell to serve as a project manager in its Orlando location. In this role, she will oversee civil and structural design of transmission lines, as well as grow the global firm’s transmission line team in the region. 

“Carolyn has worked for and with major utility companies across the U.S., giving her a deep understanding of our clients’ needs,” says Dotun Famakinwa, Burns & McDonnell regional transmission and distribution group manager. “Her unique background, consulting experience and project management and design abilities make her a strong addition to our expanding team.”

Greenwell has more than 18 years of industry experience. She’s managed, developed and supported more than 40 transmission line projects throughout her career ranging from design to rebuilds to retrofits.

Greenwell is a licensed professional engineer in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Utah. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering and management.
