PHOENIX, Arizona — Burns & McDonnell hires Ulises Arvayo and Dan Richards to support mining growth in the United States and Latin America. With mining projects on the rise, Arvayo and Richards will be key to Burns & McDonnell’s continued success and expansion in the industry.
Dan Richards joins Burns & McDonnell as a project manager in the mining group. He brings with him 15 years of experience from a leading global mining company. He has worked at Tier 1 mines in the U.S. and Central America, serving as superintendent of tailings storage construction, leading mine expansion feasibility studies and managing capital projects with budgets exceeding $100 million. In his new role, he focuses on project and program management for mining clients of Burns & McDonnell.
Ulises Arvayo joins Burns & McDonnell as a senior electrical engineer in the mining group. He brings with him over 10 years of experience. Arvayo has worked at nine mining sites in North and South America, including mines operated by ASARCO, Goldcorp, OceanaGold and Grupo Mexico. As an experienced engineer and field superintendent fluent in both English and Spanish, he will help Burns & McDonnell continue expanding the reach of its mining services.
