DENVER, Colorado — Burns & McDonnell, a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture and construction firm, has relocated its Denver operations to a new 124,168-square-foot office space, increasing its footprint by more than 30,000 square feet.
“Burns & McDonnell is thrilled to be growing in the Rocky Mountains, playing a vital role in building infrastructure and supporting a thriving economy in Colorado,” says Dan Korinek, senior vice president who manages the firm’s offices in Denver and the Pacific Northwest.
Since opening its first Denver metro office in 1987 the firm has seen rapid growth and job creation as it works on designing and building critical infrastructure, including water, power, manufacturing facilities and more.
“From providing sustainable power solutions to building manufacturing facilities and updating water and wastewater facilities, our team is focused on making our clients successful,” Korinek says. “We are excited for our continued growth and look forward to adding talent to our team.”
Burns & McDonnell, backed by a global team of 13,500 employees, has grown to more than 400 professionals locally. The new office, located at 9191 S. Jamaica in Englewood, Colorado, has space for the firm to nearly double its local workforce to nearly 700. Burns & McDonnell moved into its new office space in June. Amenities feature a gym, cafeteria, basketball court, pickleball facility and game room.
With its expanded footprint near the Denver Tech Center and located across from the Regional Transportation District (RTD) Lincoln Station, Burns & McDonnell plans to continue hiring and grow its local office by nearly 30%.
