ST. LOUIS, Missouri — Burns & McDonnell, a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture and construction firm, has promoted Mike Roush, PE, to lead the Power Group in the Midwest Region. In this role, he will focus on leading the delivery of innovative, high-quality power solutions while supporting clients in achieving their energy goals.

"Mike has a proven track record of leadership and technical excellence in the power sector," says Breck Washam, PE, F.NSPE, senior vice president and general manager of the Midwest Region. "His experience leading strategic growth, driving project execution and building strong client relationships positions him well to continue expanding our Power practice and growing engineer-procure-construct (EPC) project delivery in the Midwest Region."

Roush joined Burns & McDonnell as an intern in 2000 before beginning his full-time career as an assistant mechanical engineer. For more than two decades, he has played an integral role in power generation projects, leading design, sales, project management, contract administration, fieldwork and startup operations.

Roush has played a pivotal role in the sales, strategy and growth of the Power Group. His deep knowledge of power-generating stations has been instrumental in solving complex challenges for clients. Roush is also passionate about mentorship, developing emerging talent and advancing the power industry through engineering excellence.

A graduate of the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, he earned his Master of Business Administration from Rockhurst University in 2007 and holds Professional Engineer licenses in Ohio, Missouri, and West Virginia.
