MAITLAND, Florida — Burns & McDonnell leadership, along with representatives from the Orlando Economic Partnership and local officials, gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house to celebrate the company’s continued growth and the opening of its new, expanded office space in Maitland, Florida.
Since first establishing a presence in the Orlando area in April 2015, Burns & McDonnell has experienced significant growth, supporting clients across a wide range of industries. The new office, spanning approximately 50,000 square feet, will allow the firm to double its presence in the Orlando area, reinforcing its commitment to serving Florida’s growing infrastructure and construction needs. The company aims to fill the new space by 2030.
“We are proud to deepen our investment in Orlando and continue growing alongside the region’s dynamic industries,” said Rich Mahaley, senior vice president and general manager of the Florida region at Burns & McDonnell. “The expansion of our office underscores our long-term commitment to our clients, partners and employee-owners. With this new space, we are well-positioned to expand our engineering and construction capabilities and continue delivering high-quality solutions that drive economic growth in the state.”
The Orlando office currently has 183 employee-owners, with plans to surpass 200 by the end of 2025. As Burns & McDonnell continues to enhance its local presence, the team remains focused on providing full-service engineering, construction and consulting solutions for industries such as power generation, aviation, electrical transmission and distribution, and transportation.
“The growth of Burns & McDonnell in the Orlando region is a testament to the strength and opportunities within our local economy,” said Tim Giuliani, president and CEO of the Orlando Economic Partnership. “This expansion is a major win for the region, reinforcing Orlando as a hub for innovation and engineering excellence. We look forward to seeing the continued impact Burns & McDonnell will have on our business community.”
