DENVER, Colorado — Burns & McDonnell, a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture and construction firm, announced the promotions of Jason Mayyak and Janson Ferrera to new leadership roles in the Mountain Region.

“We look forward to leveraging the knowledge and leadership acumen of these admirable leaders,” says Dan Korinek, senior vice president and general manager for the Mountain Region. “Both bring a wealth of technical experience and a client-first mentality. Their innovative approaches drive progress, and I am confident their leadership will foster continued growth for our clients and team.”

Mayyak has been promoted to operations director for the Mountain Region, supporting the firm’s offices in Colorado and the Northwest. He will support operations for a nearly 500-person team delivering engineering and construction solutions across industries such as aviation, environmental, manufacturing, industrial, power, telecommunications and water.

Earlier this year, Mayyak was promoted to vice president for Burns & McDonnell. He previously served as a regional manager for the Transmission & Distribution Group, leading power infrastructure projects for our communities. Under his leadership, the team more than tripled in size to more than 200 employee-owners.

Ferrera has been promoted to regional manager for the Transmission & Distribution Group, responsible for the group’s business development, project management, engineering management and operations for electrical transmission and distribution and pipeline facility projects, including telecommunications and transportation electrification.

He previously served as the regional group’s projects director, leading the oversight of large-scale, engineer-procure-construct (EPC) projects.

Both Mayyak and Ferrera hold a master’s and bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
