BIRMINGHAM, England — Burns & McDonnell has hired Nick Busby as a senior project manager, further strengthening its team in Birmingham.

A former operations manager in the British Army, Busby joins Burns & McDonnell with 25 years’ experience in project management. He has worked in the electricity transmission & distribution sector, having delivered projects to some of our key clients: National Grid, Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks, and distribution network operators. He also has a track record of managing complex operations within the U.K. and internationally. 

Busby is the latest senior addition to the growing Burns & McDonnell team in the United Kingdom. He joins other recent hires including offshore wind leader Tony Appleton and senior electrical engineer Craig McGlone. Busby’s focus will be on engineer-procure-construct (EPC) projects, building on the successes of the company’s ongoing projects, including the E-Port Smart Energy system for industry and consumers centred around Ellesmere Port in Cheshire.
