PROJECT

Commissioning for Ginsburg Center for Quantum Precision Measurement

We are the commissioning agent for the Ginsburg Center for Quantum Precision Measurement (GCQPM), a flagship project for the California Institute of Technology (CalTech). The 67,800-square-foot project will be certified LEED Gold and commissioned to meet LEED v.4 Enhanced Commissioning Option 1, Path 1, including development of the Ongoing Commissioning Plan (LEED BD+C v.4).

The center will have four stories of aboveground scientific office workspace, one story of underground laboratory space with a mezzanine, and a one-story semiattached pavilion and seminar space.

Service highlights include commissioning of the HVAC, energy consumption and building envelope systems. Our team will bench test the Niagara N4 building automation system, review controls programming and complete SkySpark integration. We also will conduct activities including startup, functional testing, trend review, systems manual compilation, training and 10-month warranty review. We have previously provided commissioning services to CalTech for lab renovations (animal behavior, biology, chemistry and optics) and its central utility plant.
