Transmission Planning
In partnership with 1898 & Co. — our business, technology and security consultancy — we take project details into account from the beginning stages of planning and design all the way to construction completion. The 1898 & Co. team provides services for a range of transmission initiatives, including development of reliability upgrades for the long-term transmission planning horizon, conducting studies for NERC compliance, analyzing impacts of new generation, retiring generation, or adding facilities.
Our planners know the intricacies of system planning and can meet a variety of needs from a high-level, initial feasibility study to a more complex, detailed system study. In-house tools enable efficient setup and execution of simulations, allowing more complex project scopes and volume of scope to be studied in less time. We also hold licenses for most every power systems analysis software used in the electric power industry.
