Sound assessment studies are intrinsic to many projects, during pre-construction phases, construction, post-construction compliance demonstration and complaint resolution. Our team of acoustics industry specialists have completed hundreds of sound assessments across the U.S. and in Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Australia, in industries including:
- Aviation
- Construction and demolition
- Electrical generation, transmission and distribution, including renewables
- Federal
- Industrial
- Oil and gas
- Transportation
- Universities and hospitals
Our specialists are members of the Institute of Noise Control Engineers and Acoustical Society of America and can perform all acoustics tasks, including:
- Compliance demonstration documentation
- Expert testimony
- Field measurements
- Mitigation design
- Predictive modeling
- Regulatory and community interaction
We use industry-leading sound level meters (ANSI S1.4 type 1 certified) for field measurements. We perform predictive modeling using CadnaA and CadnaR, TNM, CALTRANS and others based on best practices for each industry. Our team creates 3-D noise models of a facility and surrounding areas, based on equipment-specific noise data, field measurements and geographical information. The modeling allows our team to quickly evaluate noise impacts for various acoustical scenarios and mitigation options at on-site, property line or far-field locations.
