Custom Pumping Systems & CSO Flow Conveyance
While many lift station projects can be addressed with packaged pumping systems, high head and high volume applications require custom solutions. We have extensive experience with custom lift station applications that required multiple wet wells, influent screening/grinding, high head applications with multistage pumps, surge tanks for transient mitigation, high flow applications (greater than 100 million gallons per day), and odor mitigation through both chemical injection or super-oxygenation. Combined sewer overflow (CSO) treatment and pumping is a specialized application because most flow is sediment-laden stormwater rather than wastewater. In these applications, solids handling and high flow/low head pumping is critical. Most systems operate for only part of the year, but they must to be ready to operate when high flows occur. Our project experience includes custom solutions for the treatment, storage and conveyance of CSO flows.
