Suppliers

Suppliers as Partners

As employee-owners, we provide a level of quality and service to exceed our clients' expectations — and suppliers are integral to reaching that goal.

Our procurement team achieves this mission by effectively managing the goods and services we purchase, delivering the lowest total cost of acquisition to projects across the company. We inclusively source equipment, material and services so they’ll be available when and where our customers need them — and at the quantity, quality and price they expect.

We are known for integrity and the close adherence to strong ethical principles. We expect the same from our suppliers.

Register as a Supplier

We have established a partnership with COMPASS for our supplier registration requirements. The system change is effective as of September 2023.

What is COMPASS?

COMPASS is a secure, web-based application built to provide suppliers with the most advanced and efficient way to satisfy multiple general contractors’ registration/prequalification requests through a single, common, industry-standard prequalification form.

Supplier Benefits

  • COMPASS 1Form: An easy-to-use and standardized registration form that prefills answers from previous submissions and highlights important data.
  • Data Control: Suppliers have full control over their submitted data. You may authorize only the general contractors you want to have access to your sensitive data.
  • Q Score & Trade Rank: COMPASS provides an assessment of your company relative to others within your trade.

Learn About COMPASS

  • Monthly webinars are offered to Burns & McDonnell suppliers to assist in the registration process. Scheduled 2024 dates: Jan. 9, Feb. 6, March 5, April 2 and May 7. Find out more and register

More About COMPASS

  • COMPASS uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud-based software and the highest security measures that are used across institutions like NASA, financial companies and government agencies.
  • Annual registration renewals are required. This means you are required to submit 1Form (business, finance, and health and safety data) updates annually.
  • Please note that COMPASS is a paid service. If you have already paid, there is no additional charge. If you are registering for the first time and are prequalifying with only Burns & McDonnell, there are no annual fees. An annual fee is charged when you prequalify with two or more general contractors on the COMPASS platform.
