Chris began his career at Burns & McDonnell supporting electric utilities and transmission developers on diverse projects. His distinctive, strategic approach advanced him to manager of transmission development for the firm, helping build what is now North America’s largest provider of engineering services in electrical transmission and distribution. In 2017, he was promoted to lead 1898 & Co., a business, technology and security solutions consultancy, part of Burns & McDonnell. Under his leadership, the team has grown to more than 400 professionals working with clients to advance growth initiatives and develop strategies for success amidst a rapidly changing business environment and digital world.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I have six kids — one daughter and five sons. No twins, however, two of my sons share a birthday.
What’s the coolest part of your job?
The people. Building relationships with clients and colleagues, working together, solving problems together and growing together is hands down the coolest part of my job.
How do you and your team make the world a better place?
We have an active role in the clean energy revolution, creating a cleaner and brighter world for us and for future generations. In addition, our cybersecurity professionals play an integral role in securing our nation's most critical infrastructure to create a safer world for all.
